I've always been fond of the art design of the Disgaea series and the certain charm that the games' characters and stories have. But when I played D5 and learned more about Killia, I absolutely wanted to cosplay him. When I was younger, I loved the trio: Laharl, Etna, and Flonne. And I mean, I still do, but something about Killia really clicked with me (๑ˊ ꇴ ˋ͈)~♡. So here I'll be sharing the construction process of my cosplay of Killia from Disgaea 5! (I actually made two attempts to make this cosplay. The first time I did the wig and jacket they came out awful, so I had to remake them ;;) Resources/Tutorials: Nomad Elf Ears from Aradani Costumes Duplicate Your Favorite Pair Of Jeans by Professor Pincushion Jeans Assemby by Professor Pincushion PROGRESS: Wig: This was my second attempt at making Killia's wig. Last year, I had tried styling Killia's wig and ended up wrecking it so I had to buy a new wig and start over. However, when I was spiking the back of the head, I noticed that the weft base was visible in some places so I had to remove pieces from my old wig and add it into the new wig. So this wig is a combination of two wigs. Jacket: For the jacket, I used one of my longsleeve shirts as a guide to create a pattern. I drew out the base pattern on wrapping paper then I added the necessary details and alterations for Killia's jacket design. Pants: I actually made the pants last year. I made these following tutorials by Professor Pincushion. I first followed the, "Duplicate Your Favorite Pair Of Jeans" tutorial, then made alterations to the pattern to add in the blue stripe. Then I followed the, "Jeans Assembly" tutorial. Scarf: The scarf is made of the same material as the jacket and pants. I sewed a button closure on the inside of the collar so it doesn't show when it's worn around my neck. Gloves: The base glove was a plain black, so I painted the edge of it red with acrylic paint and lumiere paint. The armored fingers were made from worbla and painted with acrylic paint. Shoes: Shoes were originally a plain black, so the soles were painted with red lumiere paint. Belt Buckle: The belt buckle is the only thing I didn't make myself. This was made by HB.
The "X" is made of PVC, and the back loops are made of worbla.

AboutHi I'm RQ and this is where I blog about my cosplay and daily life.
*I'm taking a break from cosplay.
Looking back at what I wrote in my posts make me cringe, but I'll leave this blog up in case people still want to use my cosplay progress/WIPs as a resource for their own projects. Categories
